Monitor 2 encounters problems a week after its release. Along with a flood of complaints in the queue and people unable to join games when the title first released on October 4, 2022, there has been a new problem for fans of the shooter Hero. Bastion, everyone's favorite peacekeeping robot wearing a dad hat, is not available to pick in Overwatch 2 matches, as it has been temporarily disabled. Players may not be surprised by this recent development, but for those who are not yet in the know, you may want to read further.
Why can't I play as a Stronghold in Overwatch 2 now?
Bastion has been disabled for maintenance in Overwatch 2 after players discovered an exploit in his Ultimate that allowed them to fire him infinitely, as opposed to the 3 shot limit previously. Word of it spread quickly at the end of week one, and the Overwatch developers quickly removed it from all game modes, including the Heroes menu for customization. In addition to Bastion, Torbjörn will also be in maintenance, to fix these bugs that are drastically unbalancing their characters. For reference, abusing Bastion's ultimate ability can completely wipe out an enemy team with ease, or otherwise unfairly disrupt perks with impunity.

As the official Overwatch Twitter account tweeted, there is no information given on how long Bastion will be maintained or when it will be playable. Word of this spread quickly through the community, and with emergency maintenance taking the game offline for an hour at 20:00 PM PT on October 10, 2022, fans quickly became concerned. But since the game has only been out for a week, the sooner the better. Seems Infinite Artillery probably isn't long for this world, but at least Torbjörn is playable, right? Anyway, don't sleep on the other interesting DPS heroes available in Overwatch 2!
