The Gold Bottlecap is the holy grail of competitive Pokémon training. Players thought Gold Caps might be completely unobtainable in Pokemon Shining Diamond & Shining Pearl - but that's not the case. You can earn a Gold Bottlecap, but you'll need a top team that's already been assembled, ready to take on some of the toughest challenges in the entire game. If you think you've got what it takes, you can finally win an almighty Gold Bottlecap.
The Gold Bottlecap is a special item that you can exchange with the Hyper Trainer NPC Battle Park Shop, a store in the endgame area that unlocks after defeating the Elite Four. Regular bottle caps are swapped to instantly train a Pokemon to max IV on a single stat. It's useful on its own, but gold caps are the best. Trading a gold capsule will cause a Pokemon to max IV in all six stats. This gives you the highest possible growth potential. How To Get A Gold Bottle Cap | Master Battle Tower Rewards
There is only one way to earn the Gold Bottlecap – you need to climb the ranks and unlock the Main Battle Tower. If you complete a 50 consecutive wins tower of battle, a post-game area where you fight a series of random battles for prizes, you will unlock the hardest Main Battle Tower. The Master Battle Tower is populated with tough teams of Pokemon with perfect IVs and extremely high levels. Taking on the Master Battle Tower is the closest thing to truly competitive play against a real player… just with the safety of the AI, so it's possible to build a streak and level up.
- For winning battles in the Master Battle Tower, you will earn prizes. These are not consecutive battles. Instead, they are cumulative, so if you win that many battles in the world in the Master Battle Tower, you will get the following prizes.
- 30 wins: bottle cap
- 40 wins: PP max
- 50 wins: gold bottle cap
- You can also earn BP (Battle Points) in the Master Battle Tower. You will also earn BP in the standard Battle Tower, but the Master Battle Tower gives you more. Completing a streak of 7 battles awards 10 BP.
- Increase your Ranking also rewards you with 12 BP. You rank up by completing 7 sets of battles without losing. If you lose, you go down in the rankings. If you win, you will (eventually) increase your rank. You may need to complete several streaks in a row without losing to rank.
BP is a valuable currency that you can use in the Battle Park Store to buy super rare items like rare candies, or extra bottle caps to boost your IVs with the Hyper Trainer. The Hyper Trainer (Mr. Hyper) is located in the Battle Park store, so it's in a convenient location. The hardest part of Master Battle Tower is simply getting your Pokemon to max level. There really isn't a really effective way to boost them. The highest level Pokémon in the game are around 60, so it's more efficient to boost your Pokémon with breeding to get valuable Max IVs, then use capsules to top up any stats you might have. missed. At this point, the Gold Bottlecap seems a bit worthless. Once you're strong enough to get it, you really don't need it anymore. But, you can still use it for those Legendary Pokemon that can't spawn. Show up with a perfect Legendary Pokemon IV and you'll be absolutely impressed.
