Spotlight on the weekend park in the lush jungle
As mentioned earlier, Lush Jungle, the latest Alola-themed event in Pokemon GO, features a Spotlight on the weekend park to close. This event is similar but a little different from a Spotlight hour. There are still plenty of opportunities to catch rookie Pokemon like a Fomantis or Tapu Lele before Lush Jungle ends, so don't miss them.
How to Catch Cottonee
The best chance to catch Cottonee in Pokemon GO is during the Lush Jungle Weekend Park Spotlight. The Spotlight event starts on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. local time and lasts until Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 20:00 p.m. local time. Meanwhile, Cottonee will appear more frequently in parks. Since the Lush Jungle event focuses primarily on Grass-type Pokémon, spotlighting Cottonee who is a Fairy and Grass-type Pokémon in his very own Lush Jungle Weekend Park Spotlight is the perfect wrap-up.
Can Cottonee be brilliant?
Yes, for the first time in Pokemon GO, Cottonee can be brilliant. This is always exciting news for shiny hunters, but even if you're not particularly interested in catching all the shiny Pokémon out there, Shiny Cottonee is a really cute Pokémon to add to your collection. Normally, Cottonee is a white plush ball with green tints and green leaf ears, but Cottonee's shiny version turns it gold. Eyes that are normally gold on the standard Cottonee also change to green in the shiny version of Cottonee.
While the Lush Jungle Weekend Park Spotlight doesn't technically increase the speed at which glowing Cottonee spawns, it will. increase spawn rate of all types of Cottonee in general. That said, it's still the best chance to catch a Shiny Cottonee before it gets extremely difficult. So get out there and grab yourself a shiny Cottonee!
