Baptiste is a Support Hero in Monitor 2 who can deal decent damage and prevent his team from dying. While support heroes like Moira are arguably stronger, Baptiste is extremely fun to play and offers unparalleled support abilities. Without further ado, here's how to play Baptiste in Overwatch 2.

Baptiste Abilities in Overwatch 2

Baptiste a Biotic Launcher which fires a three-shot burst and a healing projectile that affects all nearby allies on impact. The three-hit flurry is Baptiste's only way to deal damage, but it's easy to control and has a long range. Healing projectiles are Baptiste's primary way to heal his team; they are a little slower than Support Hero's other healing abilities, but very effective at healing multiple teammates at once.

For his abilities, Baptiste has Regenerative Burst which creates a healing zone around him that instantly heals allies to half health and heals you and your allies with healing over time. field of immortality is another ability that creates an area in which you and your allies cannot die. The Immortality Field is a destructible device, so be careful of that.

Baptiste has a unique passive perk called Exo Boots this allows him to recharge while crouched and leap upwards with a massive leap. He also has the Passive support which automatically heals it over time.


Finally, Baptiste's ultimate is Matrice d’amplification. Using this ability creates a digital wall that doubles the damage and healing done to it.


Best Team Comps for Baptiste in Overwatch 2

The two heroes that work best with Baptiste are Idol et Bastion. Since Orisa is a very stationary tank and Bastion is a high health damage hero, these two heroes will be up front and grouped together. As the Baptist, all you have to do is stick with them and use your Regenerative Burst, Immortality Field, and Biotic Launcher heals on both of them.

Mercy makes a great support teammate for Baptiste. It provides more consistent healing to individual allies. And for the last Damage Hero, Ashe ou Widow are good choices because they can keep their distance from you behind your Tank.

Baptiste Strategies in Overwatch 2

If you really want to play Baptiste well, you need to know when to use the immortality field. Use Baptiste's Exo Boots to launch, stare down your team's center, and deploy the Immortality Field to nullify enemy ultimates and keep your team alive.


Stay behind your tank. Never attack on your own, always use your regenerative burst and healing projectiles to keep your damage and tank heroes alive.

The amplification matrix works great for lock and defend areas. Just be sure to communicate with your team when and where you deploy the ultimate.
