How to Pet Wolves and Boars in Fortnite

While Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 introduced some amazing new things like stepping through a chrome wall, the best new thing is the ability to pet your mount. A must-have addition, petting your mount not only strengthens your bond with your mount, but also makes you twice as devastated when they inevitably die.

That you kiss your new pet with a pet or if you're keeping it strictly pro, here's how to pet wolves and boars in Fortnite.

How to pet your mount in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4

The ability to ride creatures came to Fortnite in Chapter 3 Season 3, but Chapter 3 Season 4 brings the ability to pet those creatures. While not a groundbreaking new feature, it's one that shows Epic Games is dedicated to detail and likes to include things that add more flavor and fun in Fortnite.

Whether you prefer wolves or boars, you can pet them both. To do this, you must find a creature by falling in areas between points of interest, preferably with grassy hills or trees around. you have to tame them jumping on their backs.

Once the creature is your official tamed mount, you can press the pet button, which is different for all platforms but is the down arrow on controllers. To learn how to pet your mount on your device, just look at the list of abilities and input buttons on the left side of the screen.

Sadly, petting your mount does not recharge its stamina or health. While that's a good use of the feature, for now we'll take the simple storytelling of petting your wolf or boar.

Once you press the pet button, a pleasant feeling of bonding, security and growth will emerge between you and your pet.
