4 Season providedThe third chapter of introduced a number of new weapons, quests, and items to players, but the main focus is on its unique, shiny chrome appearance. Chrome areas and items have littered the map, and players are tasked with investigating an array of new abilities, but some of these items aren't as easy to find as they seem. So read on to find out how you can destroy chrome objects and find chrome anomalies.
How to Get Chrome Anomalies from Chrome Items in Fortnite
Destroying Chrome items in Fortnite is as simple as destroying any object. Any weapon can be used on a chrome object to destroy it, and after a few hits, it will drop various rewards for the player to collect. One of these rewards is a Chrome Anomaly that can be collected for completing the quest “Destroy Chrome Items, then Collect Chrome Anomalies”.
Chrome objects are reasonably easy to find naturallyespecially in areas like Lustrous Lagoon, but you will need to craft your chrome items to collect the Anomalies. To do this you will need to destroy Chrome objects that spawn naturally to receive Chrome Splash. Chrome Splash has several uses during this season, but using Chrome Splash on standard objects such as trees and plants will turn them into chrome objects. Destroying these objects will cause Chrome bugs to be removed.
However, it is not guaranteed that a defect will fall out of each handmade chrome item. It is possible that an anomaly will not appear, so you will have to repeat the process several times before you can complete the quest. So when you collect Chrome Splash to start creating your own Chrome objects, collect more than enough, so you won't be caught short if an anomaly doesn't drop.
