Genshin impact can be a fun open-world RPG, but it's also a gacha game, which means you'll need Intertwined and know fate for some good old pull ups. These two items are the only currency currently used to make “Wishes” (sweaters), although they are not difficult to acquire. Grindy, maybe, but you don't necessarily need to open your wallet to occasionally attract a potential high-ranking character or item.
Genshin Impact Intertwined Fate and Acquaint Fate are purchased with Primogems, Starglitter, or Stardust.
Ok, so what exactly are Primogems, Starglitter, and Stardust in Genshin Impact, and how do you trade them for Intertwined and Acquaint Fate? Primogems are one of the “premium” currencies in Genshin Impact, although they are earned generously in-game. They count as premium currency because the currency you buy with money, Genesis Crystals, is directly converted into Primogems whenever you want to draw. THAT IS TO SAY. If you buy currency to shoot, it will eventually become Primogems. Again, these are easily earned in-game.
Starglitter and Stardust are a little easier to understand: both of these currencies are earned through pulls. You will get a set amount of Starglitter and Stardust from the draws depending on the rank of the drawn item, as well as duplicate items. You'll need to check the "Details" tab of each wish to see what the explicit per-wish prices are for each, but you won't be buying them directly with cash.
Once you have one of these items, you can go to the store and then to the Paimon Bargains tab. You're limited to five Intertwined Fates and five Acquaint Fates per month through Stardust in Genshin Impact, but you can purchase as many as you want with Primogems or Starglitter. That said, you'll want to sit on your Starglitter: it's basically your "bad luck" currency and can be exchanged for specific 4-star characters and items that spin with a timer. Primogems are the de facto currency of Fate, so you'll want to focus on using them.
Additionally, you can immediately grab the Intertwined Fates or Acquaint Fates you need from the Wish menu without having to convert Primogems in the shop. As long as you have 160 Primogems, you can click a single draw, and Genshin Impact will ask if you want to convert them to the one you need for the draw. You can keep doing this until you run out, trade 1600 Primogems for 10 sweaters: as long as you have the Primogems, you can keep shooting without manually converting them to Intertwined or Acquaint Fates.
