Assassin's Creed debuted in 2008 and has since released many games in the series, including many different locations that have helped shape the overall combat. The most recent trilogy that began with Assassin's Creed Origins changes things up a lot, including the use of the classic Hidden Blade, which was later rendered completely unusable in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. There's been a lot of fan outcry for it due to its popularity and the good news is that it's back in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, but you don't have immediate access to it.
How to get a hidden blade
The Hidden Blade is something that you were usually given very early on in an Assassin's Creed game as the type of weapon you can use. Instead, you won't get the Hidden Blade in Assassin's Creed Valhalla until you've gotten into the game a bit.
What you need to do is play through the game when you are in Norway at the start and do the required story missions. Talk to people in your village and others and wait until you meet Sigurd. At this point, Sigurd will introduce you to two of his new companions named Basim and Hytham who are part of the Hidden Ones, which is a dark brotherhood.
During this time, you will have a mission known as “The Prodigal Prince” to participate in, which means it is about time to get the Hidden Blade. Sigurd's new friends will speak with Eivor at this point and eventually give you the Hidden Blade and take you to try it out to teach the basics nearby. The Hidden Blade works a little differently than in the past, so be sure to pay attention to how to use it effectively.
