Get that precious slime early with this hidden location.

Ringtail Slime is one of the most valuable and rare slimes you can find in Slime Farmer 2. Unlike Gold Slimes or Lucky Slimes, Ringtail Slimes can be farmed on your ranch - just remember to obtain Sunscreen because this sludge will not come out during the day. Very early in Brin Starlight you can collect your own Ringtail Slimes, and if you check often, you can build a big enough corral of buddies.

These are also the slimes with the potential the most precious plots. Ringtail slimes produce Pleurs Ringtailwhich are sold between 15-79 Newbucks. That's a lot of money for not a lot of work. You don't even need a jetpack to reach those specific ringtails. And just to make your life easier, we'll also detail how to find natural chicken tails much further in Brin Starlight. Once you have a jetpack upgrade and are ready to dig deeper into this complicated area, you can collect a lot more Ringtails, a lot faster.

Slime Rancher 2: How To Get Ringtail Slimes Early | Rare Slime Guide
  • How to find a secret slime at the start of Ringtail: Travel to Starlight Strand. The first area will be bifurcated in pink/blue. Follow the blue path (right/west). Follow the path across a land bridge to a large open area with a locked ruins door.
    • From the ruins, go up to the left then down a hill. As you descend the hill, look to the right for a small alcove where there is a Ringtail Slime will appear.

Only one Ringtail Slime will spawn here at a time. If there aren't any, leave the area and come back - you can continuously leave the area and come back to get more. During the day, the Ringtail Slime will be in statue shape and can be brought back to your base. But, you can also wait until nightfall and grab them with your vacuum cleaner.

You won't find many here, but you can multiply easily your Ringtail Slimes with Pleurs Ringtail.

  • How to Earn More Ringtail Plorts:
    • Place your Ringtail Slimes in a Solar Shielded Corral. You only need one to start multiplying.
    • Place any other slime in your corral with the ringtail. Pink Slimes, Tabby Slimes, Cotton Slimes – any will work! Be sure to place ONLY ONE another type of Slime. If you place three types of slime in the same corral, you may accidentally spawn Tarr Slimes.
    • Collect them Pleurs Ringtail of your Ringtail Slime and feed them the other type of slime. This will create a Ringtail Largo that will produce both types of plots.

Now you'll get even more Ringtail Plorts, allowing you to do even more! Ringtail Slimes will eat anything, so set up a vegetable garden to keep them well fed. You'll want their plots, as they're the most valuable type in the game.
