The new Spotlight hour is coming to Pokemon GO brings Mouette under the spotlight of the day! To be introduced into the Hoenn region, players quickly fell in love with this Pokémon and its evolution, Peel. Spotlight Hour takes place from 18:00 p.m. to 19:00 p.m. local time every Tuesday with a new face put in the spotlight each time. Wingull will be available on May 2.

If you can get your hands on a Wingull during the Spotlight houryou will recieve 2x the normal candy catcher than you normally would, making the evolution tree much easier to complete during these events. Since Mouette requires 50 Candies move towards Peelyou will be able to do it much faster than usual.
For those looking to get their hands on another Shiny Pokémon to add to their collection, you're in luck! Wingull has a chance to be shiny during Spotlight Hour in Pokemon GO! Since there will be an increased number of spawns for this flying-type Pokemon, you'll have a higher chance of getting your hands on a Shiny.
You'll know you've encountered a Shiny when you see the different coloring of its wings, ranging from normal blue stripe on their wing light green. This will also transfer over if you evolve Wingull, so you won't have to worry about losing this new coloring.
Best stats for Wingull in Pokemon GO
Here are the normal statistics for Mouette in Pokemon GO:
- PC maximum : 765
- HP maximum : 106
- Attack: 106
- Defense: 61
- Endurance: 120
Although Wingull is not the strongest Pokémon, it has a long list of strengths, as it will only take 63% damage of these types of attacks:
- Lutte
- Insect
- Steel
- Feu
- Water (ml)
- Sun
However, they will take more damage from these types of attacks, as they are hybrid Water/flight type:
- Electric – 256% damage
- Roche – 160%
You will also be able to check as a whole Ranking IV, meaning they are trained properly in Attack, Defense, and Stamina. If you have a Wingull with perfect IVs, you will see their CP increase as follows:
- Level 15: 328
- Level 20: 437
- Level 30: 656
- Level 40: 765
Fortunately, Peel the rates are a bit better in the long run, so making sure you catch as many Wingull as possible to evolve it would add a valuable member to your team.
