As with most games that have multiple hub worlds, Mario + Rabbids Sparks Of Hope picks up some of its content. It's expected, and provided the content is already good, it's not too hard to pass for the reward. Puzzles are one of the weirder tasks that happen on a regular basis, and they've been an easy and reliable way to get powerful consumables, like Star Potions.
This all changes on Palette Prime. Of course, you still get the reward, and yes, the puzzle is still there. However, simple is no longer a word that really applies, as the Palette Prime puzzle is quite the puzzle. In fact, once we solved it, we still weren't convinced it was correct – nor did we understand why it was. Despite this, we have the ready-to-use solution.

Where can I find the Palette Prime puzzle?
This puzzle is a bit out of the way, but still firmly adjacent to the main path. You can find it by exploring the Desaturated Forest during the main questline on Palette Prime. Once you enter the forest, cross and drop down into the pool infested tree stump near the end of the journey.
Once here, all you have to do is look for a green pipe near the end, and you're taken to the puzzle room with Professor Backpack.
How to solve the Palette Prime puzzle
As has been the case with every puzzle, the way you interact with it is unique. Here you need to pick up panels and place them on the correct segment of the clock-like structure in the center of the room. Get the command correct and you win. It's as simple as that (in theory).
To help you, Professor Backpack will give you a riddle that should help you solve the riddle. The puzzle is as follows:
“The day began with a wooden bell, the silence broke as the song of the lake swelled.”
“The red thief arrived at dusk, looking for a jewel to pawn.”
“The night has come. The Guardian did the same. Guarding the forest, my sleep would be claimed.
To solve the puzzle, place the following blocks in the corresponding locations. This can be a little tricky to figure out as the images are incredibly vague at first glance (and repeated…), so if duplicated, check the handy screenshot we have of the solution above.

- Right-footed – Swan
- Background – Seahorse
- Left - Owl
Reward for solving the puzzle
As with all puzzles, completing the puzzle on Palette Prime rewards you with a Star Potion and a Planet Token. The Planet Token can be redeemed at any Palette Prime merchant for rare goodies, while the Star Potion can be consumed to level up a Spark.
