Over the past five years, many of the most popular legendary creatures have come Pokémon GO but not Arceus, the god of all Pokémon. This wildly popular and immensely powerful character has eluded players, even though later generations have seen their Legendaries added to the game. But with Pokémon GO Fest 2021 fast approaching, clues have started to come in that have players excited. So, is Arceus coming to Pokémon GO?
Is Arceus coming to Pokémon GO during GO Fest 2021
Obviously, we don't know for sure, as there has been no official announcement. And yet, with all the clues and speculation floating around the internet, some may be surprised if Arceus is not part of Pokémon GO Fest 2021. There have always been hints of his arrival, as far as players are concerned. Some see it in every piece of art that Niantic releases. But none have materialized, and so far there aren't really any big hints that he's coming. The biggest though is pretty solid evidence, as it clearly hints at a big reveal.
The Ultra Unlocks for Pokémon GO Fest 2021 haven't been fully revealed, but the information we have so far has gamers buzzing. Divided into three parts, players will first unlock a time-based reward. This will cause "Pokémon from different eras" to appear more frequently in the game. Next is space, which seems to hint that regional Pokémon will be temporarily mixed together, though that's also speculation. Finally, it's the mystery unlock that only promises more details soon.
How this all adds up to Arceus' arrival in Pokémon GO is a small step, but it makes sense. It boils down to these first two Ultra Unlocks, which could indicate that Shiny Dialga and Shiny Palkia could be part of the reward, as they represent these elements. And Arceus was the third Legendary of their trio, as his awakening was what sparked their conflict in the first place. So it is believed that if the first two Ultra Unlocks are for Shiny Dialga and Shiny Palkia, then Arceus is probably the final reward for the third phase unlock.
Of course, this is all just speculation at the moment, but it makes a lot of sense once you understand the Pokemon lore involved. However, many pointed out that this could also apply to Giratina, although given that it's been available a few times before, it doesn't seem like a worthy reward for Pokémon GO Fest 2021.
