Here is a preview of the Call of Duty Warzone 2 Al Mazrah map

This potential map could be fully revealed during the Call of Duty NEXT event later today.

Writer Tom Henderson has presented new information for Call of Duty Warzone 2.

Tom shared a new map called Al Mazrah. Al Mazrah comes with these POIs: Note that some of these names have changed since Tom last reported them.

    • Oasis
    • Taraq Village (formerly known as Wartorn)
    • Jobs At Kiwiz
    • Rohan Oil (anciennement Oilfield)
    • Al Mazrah City (formerly known as Modern City)
    • Caves
    • Hydroelectric (formerly known as Dam)
    • Marais (formerly Marais)
    • Port (formerly known as Harbour)
    • Sa'id City (formerly known as Sira)
    • Observatoire
    • Al Sharim Pass (formerly known as Mountain Town)
    • Cemetery (formerly Graveyard)
    • Abkdar Village (formerly Oldtown)
    • Sawah Village (formerly known as Shipwreck)
    • Sarrif Bay (formerly known as Fishtown)
    • Fortress (formerly known as Fort)
    • Airport

The card hasn't been officially revealed yet, but you might not have to wait long to see it. Call of Duty NEXT for 2022 is coming later today, and Activision will be revealing information for this and their other upcoming Call of Duty games, including Call of Duty Warzone Mobile and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

In the meantime, Tom has shared a diagram showing the locations of points of interest in this peninsula. A description of these locations follows below. Please note that they may use the old names for the locations, and this map is not final.

At the far north of the map are Oasis and War-Torn, with the Oilfield and Hydroelectric Station a few feet below. At opposite ends of the map near the top are the Quarry and the considerably larger Modern City. A river path crosses the modern city and goes to the swamps, the side of the hydroelectric plants, the caves, Sira, and finally reaches the East Sea at the port.

On the other side of the hydroelectric plant and its river is a steep mountain, and therefore the mountain town. Next to the Mountain Town is the Observatory, located close enough to the center, which is potentially the best location to see everything on the map. The old town is below the mountain town adjacent to the mountain itself.

Finally, the low side of Al Mazrah is the three sides of the peninsula surrounded by water. Besides the port, close to the open sea are the shipwreck, the cemetery, the fish town, the fort and the airport.

The way the map is laid out, control depends on taking control closer to the bottom and middle of it rather than the top. Although Al Mazrah City FKA Modern City is an important location, it is surrounded on all sides by other points of interest and can be smothered, especially if players take over the sea controlling sides.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 will be released on October 28, 2022 on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam. You can read our previous coverage on another potential map for both Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 called Highrise.
