Fishing was added to Genshin Impact in version 2.1, but there are only a few specific places where you can find fish. There are currently 27 total fishing spots in Genshin Impact. Fishing spots can be found all over Teyvat, and you can find different types of fish in Monstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma. Here is where you can find all the fishing spots in Genshin Impact.
How to find fishing spots in Genshin Impact
You cannot just fish in any body of water in Genshin Impact. You'll need to keep an eye out for specific fishing spots, which are designated by ripples on the surface of the water. You should also be able to clearly see fish swimming near the surface of the water.
You can keep track of all the fishing spots you've found by placing a pin on the map. MiHoYo added a special pin in the new update just for this purpose, so feel free to mark your favorite spots with the new hook icon.
Monstadt fishing spots
There are 8 fishing spots in Monstadt. They are also all fairly close to each other, so you won't have to travel too far to visit them all. Here are the 8 fishing spots in Monstadt:
- In a pond in the northern part of Stormterror's Lair
- In a pond in the southern part of Stormterror's Lair
- In the lake south of Windwail Highland
- In the river south of Monstadt
- In the river east of Monstadt
- In the river leading to the ocean near the Stormbearer Mountains
- In the river leading to the Falcon Coast near Windrise
- In a pond in the southwest part of Dragonspine
Liyue fishing spots
There are 11 fishing spots in Liyue. This region has the most fishing spots of all Teyvat regions and is home to a wide variety of fish. Most types of fish are found in Liyue, so it's a great place to cast your line. Here are the 11 fishing spots in Liyue:
- In the lake northeast of Qingce Village
- Two spots can be found near the islands west of Qingce Village
- In the pond of Mount Aocang
- In the river between Mount Hulao and Qingyun Peak
- In the lake of Tianqiu Valley
- In the river west of Wangshu Inn
- Along the northern coast of Dihua Swamp near Stone Gate
- Near the bridge connecting Mingyun Village and Guili Plains
- Near the estate at Luhua Pool
- A short distance east of Liyue Port Pier
Inazuma Fishing Spots
There are 8 fishing spots spread across Inazuma. The map above only shows 7 locations, but there are two fishing spots near each other on Seirai Island. Fishing in Inazuma can be tricky as the islands are quite far apart. Here are the 8 fishing spots in Inazuma:
- In the pond in the northern part of Watatsumi Island
- Along the east side of the estate at Suigetsu Pool on Watatsumi Island
- Along the north coast of Nazuchi Beach connecting Kannazuka and Yashiori Island
- In the small archipelago off the east coast of Kannazuka
- Off the small island with a domain east of Kujou Camp
- Near Ritou Pier on Narukami Island
- Two spots are between the village of Koseki and Fort Hiraumi on the island of Seirai
