haunted season started in Destiny 2and players can collect Opulent touches unlock Opulent Chests hidden around the Derelict Leviathan in areas like the pleasure gardens. Opulent Keys will unlock a random Opulent Chest somewhere in the new patrol area, but your destination is random each time and you only receive a vague clue to guide you to your treasure.
In this case, your index is “Pleasure gardens, guarded by a faithful companion.” The Pleasure Gardens is an easily accessible area on the Derelict Leviathan, but who is the trusty companion? Here's how to get the Pleasure Gardens Opulent Chest in Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted.
Where to find Pleasure Gardens in Destiny 2
To get started, head to the Abandoned Leviathan while navigating to Castle on the moon. Once you load up, take a few steps straight to the Nightmare Containment event and the Cabal enemies.
Slightly to your right you should see a golden giant statue of Emperor Calus with a bunch of stuff growing on it. Follow the path that turns behind this statue, hugging the left wall.
You will soon come across a lowered area with a open door that has a strange red glow. Go inside and follow the path to reach the pleasure gardens.
To recap, here's how to find Pleasure Gardens:
- Load into the Derelict Leviathan
- Circle behind the golden Calus statue on the right (next to the Nightmare Containment event)
- Continue down the eerie red hallway under the statue
“Pleasure gardens, guarded by a faithful companion.”
After a long winding corridor, you will come out on the Pleasure Gardens. This area should be very familiar to you if you ran the Leviathan Raid when Destiny 2 was still new. Once you enter the area you will see the phrase “Detained Opulent Key” indicating that there are chests in the area.
There is more than one place the Chest can spawn in Pleasure Gardens, however. You have to try them all until you find the right one for your key, otherwise it will tell you it doesn't fit.
Le first chest location is directly to the left of the entrance as you enter. It is tucked away in a corner behind some pillars. the second chest location can be found at the foot of the golden dog statue to the left of the raised platform on the back wall of the room. the third chest location is directly to the right as you enter nestled in front of a fallen golden statue.
The chests aren't hard to find as the room is quite small, but to recap, here's the three possible chest locations in the Pleasure Gardens:
- Directly to the left of the entrance
- Directly to the right of the entrance
- Near the golden dog statue against the far wall
Opening an Opulent Chest will reward you with one of the new Opulent Weapons of this season, as Drang (baroque), Austringer or beloved.
How to Get Opulent Keys
Opulent Keys are rare rewards that can be obtained by participating in most new Haunted Season activities on the Derelict Leviathan, including:
- Destination Chests
- Haunted Alcove Chests
- Nightmare Containment Reward Chests
Again, they only drop aboard the Derelict Leviathan, so you can't get them in other patrol areas. Luckily, the new Nightmare Containment mode is a good one, and you'll need to partake in it if you want to get some of the opulent new/returning weapons.
