Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2The third mission in "Wetworks" will have you fight your way onto a barge from the water, which also includes taking out all the guards on the surrounding docks. In this mission, you have the possibility to unlock an Achievement/Trophy named “Nessie”. To complete this challenge, you'll need to fight your way through the mission's opening stealth sequence and reach the barge undetected. To reach the barge, you will have to eliminate all the guards in the area. It could be a pretty decent challenge, but with this article, you can do it without a problem! This guide will walk players through how to get the Nessie achievement and trophy in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.
Nessie Guide to achievements and trophies in Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
There are a total of 15 enemies that you'll need to take down without being spotted, many of them working in groups and looking out for each other. This means you'll need to be quick, precise and have a plan. This guide will explain how to engage each of the docks and the two patrol boats in the quietest possible way.
first platform
Once you take control of Gaz at the start of the mission, you'll need to swim to the dock right in front of you. You can swim up to the lone guard on the dock and take him down with one of your throwing knives or do a ledge takedown. Once that target is dead, you can loot a silenced gun to help clear the docks.
The left platform
Move past the previous dock and keep left. You will find a dock with three guards standing on it. Stay underwater and approach the dock from the far left, focusing on the guards on the left end of the docks. My strategy here is to aim for the one in the middle of the three with your pistol and hit him with a headshot, followed by a quick stab at the other nearby enemy. With both of these supported, you should have no problem dealing with the last enemy on the dock.
Right platform #1
To the right of this platform is another platform on which a single guard is stationed. It's fairly easy to clean and shouldn't be too much of a problem, just keep an eye out for a patroller near here that might make things a bit trickier. As long as you wait for the ship to pass, however, you should have no problem taking out this guard.
Right platform #2
Keep going up the waterway while keeping to the right and you'll find another wharf with two guards patrolling it. You can easily drop the rightmost one with a throwing knife or your pistol, leaving the final target open to whatever type of takedown you decide to use.
The two patrollers
Now, let's turn our attention to the patrollers. They are two to go around the water, both with two occupants. When attacking these boats, wait for them to reach an isolated position then engage them the same way you did with the first two guards on the left dock. Aim for one of their heads and shoot, then quickly kill the other enemy with a throwing knife. Do it fast enough and you won't set off any alarms. Do this for both boats to clear the water.
Quai final
The last dock is where the barge is and because of that has the most guards in one place. My approach to this dock is to go to the far left of the area, near the barge, and get on land. You will find yourself behind two of the guards. Put them down with a headshot and a quick throwing knife. From there, it's easy. Go higher on the platform and eliminate the first guard because he should be isolated. This leaves one last guard that you can take out with a headshot from your pistol.
With all of this done, you will have cleared the area undetected, you should have the Nessie Achievement/Trophy unlocked!
