Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Is Patched, No Patch Notes

Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Is Patched, No Patch Notes

Infinity Ward is fixing Modern Warfare 2 so fast they don't even have time to explain it.

Infinity Ward revealed that they released a new update for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. However, they were unable to prepare the patch notes to reveal what was actually updated.

So, has Infinity Ward told us anything? They shared this statement on Twitter:

“We recently released an update that fixed an issue that was preventing players from editing their profile storefront. Additionally, we have also fixed various exploits and map bugs in the game.

Stay tuned as we provide further game updates here, and in the meantime, you can track issues and their fixes on our official Trello board: https://trello.com/b/mCqzSc7D”

Now, Infinity Ward's Public Trello has a system set up where you can see individual issues, as well as each of their statuses on the studio's progress on the issue. We had noted several named issues that were deemed resolved. It is likely that these are the fixes included in the latest update and will be written in any patch notes. With that in mind, we also share them with you below.

    • We are aware of some players experiencing crashes while in a group.
    • Some PS4 players may experience audio continuity issues.
    • We are aware of an issue preventing players from accessing the in-match menu and are actively working on a fix.
    • Players missing Oni Operator or Vault Edition items will need to restore their licenses. Please follow this path and restart your game: Go to Settings > Users & Accounts > Other > Restore Licenses.

Infinity Ward has been attentive to the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 update that lives up to its players' expectations, right from its open beta. In the last update released before this one, they explained that they need to disable weapon attachment customization. While this was a cool feature that allowed players to express themselves, it was also causing game crashes with a few players. While the patch isn't practical, it shows you how much Infinity has put the gaming experience first.

Infinity Ward also revealed that their plans for ranked play are to delay it until next year. While players aren't necessarily lacking to keep things playing in the meantime, it's certainly a potential setback for competition and eSports. Call of duty community. These competitive gamers could arguably spend that time figuring out the game's meta in preparation, but there will be a time when that takes too long and it could get in the way of players when good esports seasons begin. It ultimately depends on how quickly Infinity Ward prepares it.

Considering what it looks like right now, it looks like Infinity Ward has a lot of work ahead of it to get its game in order.
