Best Assault Rifles in Call of Duty: Vanguard, Ranked (Season 5)

Every Call of Duty game always has a strong meta. You've probably been in lobbies where you've been completely "corporated" by people using extremely effective loadouts. “Getting lasered,” as they say, is an expression that refers to weapons with high firepower and virtually no recoil. If you want that laser-like feel for Assault Rifles in Call of Duty Vanguard, check out the best on our list.

Here are the weapons currently in game that can help you carry yourself and even get your K/D up.

STG 44

The Assault Rifle at launch remains a solid choice for players of all skill levels. Its versatility lets you customize the gun to be a powerhouse at any range. Of course, every build has its drawbacks. It has some recoil, so you'd want to provide attachments that can mitigate that without taking too far away from the gun's lethality.

Nikita

Introduced in Season 3, the Nikita is a gun that has a slight advantage over the STG 44 as it has slightly less recoil and more damage. The speed difference is negligible since this gun is already above average in this stat. With the right build, you can literally eliminate any noticeable recoil from the gun while focusing on accuracy to make that accuracy deadly on headshots at most ranges!

Vargo-S

As of Season 4, this gun is more than meets the eye. It is a better version of the BAR due to its high accuracy and speed stats. If you want the experience of being a sniper without using DMR, this is the closest you'll get. A few good head shots are where it's at.

EX1

Unsurprisingly, this gun might be the strongest AR in the game. It has a lot of destructive power and technically infinite ammo because it's charge-based. The EX1 can also switch between sniper, burst, or auto AR depending on what barrel attachment you put in it.

Of course, a firearm with such lethality must have a downside. The EX1 is extremely slow in terms of handling, especially with its long reload. You almost have to tactfully engage your enemies because you can't just reload in a second, go in and repeat. If you want to get this V2, this might be the one to get it.

Call of Duty Vanguard is available now for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series consoles and PC. War zone is also out and free to play on the same consoles.
