Animal Crossing: New Horizons version 2.0 will be the last update for the game, so don't expect any new additions once the DLC is released. We loved Animal Crossing: New Horizons, giving it a 4,5/5 star rating in our review. The game was released at just the right time, giving players the chance to escape to an island paradise when all seemed dark.

In our review, we said "Animal Crossing: New Horizons has surely been developed over the past few years with one goal in mind: to bring joy to players around the world. Given the current circumstances, this goal has become more important than ever. And that joy seems to have been delivered, with the game succeeding across the board and allowing those in quarantine to experience a level of normality that only a desert island full of animal villagers can provide. So while we generally try to create an objective analysis of games with these reviews, it's important to realize that Animal Crossing: New Horizons arrived at exactly the right time and in the right way.

With the package finally complete, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a great game for series veterans and newcomers alike. This DLC adds a new layer to an already great game, and if you subscribe to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack, you get the Happy Home Paradise DLC for free.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now on Nintendo Switch.
